
About the Role
Position Summary:
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all housekeeping operations within the facility to ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic healthcare environment that complies with infection prevention standards, healthcare regulations, and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and supervise all housekeeping operations across clinical and non-clinical areas
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and infection prevention throughout the facility
• Develop and monitor cleaning schedules, SOPs, and operational procedures
• Oversee theatre cleaning coordination and sanitation support for surgical operations
• Lead infection prevention and waste management compliance initiatives
• Supervise housekeeping staff, including scheduling, training, performance management, and workforce planning
• Manage inventory, housekeeping supplies, equipment, linen, and departmental budgets
• Conduct inspections, audits, and quality improvement activities to maintain service excellence
• Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards
• Prepare operational reports and coordinate with other departments to support facility operations
• Support emergency sanitation responses, accreditation, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Environmental Health, or related field
• IPC certification is an added advantage
Requirements:
• 3–5 years’ experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of sanitation, infection control, and housekeeping operations
• Proven leadership, organizational, and staff management skills
• Ability to manage inventory, schedules, and operational workflows effectively
• Good communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail, safety, and quality standards
• Basic computer proficiency for reporting and recordkeeping
